Lighthouse Academy
Elburn Programs
Your baby will be nurtured in a warm, clean, and stimulating environment. The teachers will cater to your child’s specific needs and develop a personal daily routine. Activities will include storytelling, singing songs, cuddling, and interacting with other children. An Infant curriculum with daily lessons and exercises will assist your child in discovering their world.
TODDLERS (15-24 months)
Toddlers will enjoy activities as a class to promote social development and individual discovery, and playtime. Daily activities will incorporate circle time with stories and songs, dramatic play, art, nature, sensory, language skills, and gross motor development. Toddlers will sit at a table with their friends for meals and learn to drink from a cup. Consistent daily routines assist in the child’s development of security
and autonomy.
TWOS (24-36 months)
Our two-year-old rooms are bursting with discovery
and new milestones being met. Language skills are exploding, and kids are potty training. The curriculum is full of
exciting activities using art, literature, math, science, and music. The daily schedule is made of various short activities to accommodate short attention spans and keep children engaged.
PRESCHOOL (3-4 years)
Preschool and Pre-K classrooms are designed to provide an environment for your child to learn through individual discovery and play group activities and structured lesson plans. The teachers use a formal curriculum to guide children into the world of reading, writing, math, and science. Phonics and whole language methods are used in teaching literacy. The academic activities continue to fuel children’s excitement for learning throughout the day.
