TODDLERS PROGRAM

COMPONENTS OF CURRICULUM

CURRICULUM

Children at this age thrive on learning through repetition and activity. Our teachers sit down with the children for circle time, daily projects, one-on-one play, and group activities. Each classroom uses a theme-based curriculum with monthly themes and weekly units. Teachers will focus on working with your child's language development, gross motor, and fine motor skills.

MEALS & SNACKS

For all programs, nutritious snacks are prepared and served daily. Lunch is catered in by a local catering company daily to ensure freshness. Lunch always includes fruit, vegetable, and protein. All state nutrition guidelines are followed. Breakfast is also served daily.

NAP & REST TIME

After a morning of non-stop learning and fun, your young one will be exhausted! Children are given time for a much-needed nap after lunch. Each student has their own cot and sheet. Many choose to bring a blanket, pillow, and a cuddly friend to help them rest.

PHYSICAL SPACE

Our classrooms are designed to accommodate each of your child's growing curiosities. With individual discovery and group play in a safe, structured environment, children will have the opportunity to develop and grow at their own pace.

DESIGN AND CREATE

Children create daily masterpieces through coloring, cutting, painting, gluing, and oh so much more! We inspire children to be as innovative as they dare through open-ended activities. No work of art looks the same at this age!

OUTDOOR PLAY AND GROSS MOTOR DEVELOPMENT

At least twice daily, the children will have time to run and play outside on our playground. During inclement weather, the children will have an indoor gross motor play

SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Children of this age must learn to socialize with each other and adults. Our teachers encourage social development through play and conversation with peers and adults. We teach and encourage children to use good manners, share, and have patience.

LITERACY

Language development is crucial to children of this age group. Teachers are constantly conversing with the children and teaching literacy through play. Reading stories, using alphabet flashcards, and singing songs, strongly encourages children's cognitive development.

POTTY TRAINING

Potty training is one of the main focal points in our two-year-old rooms. At least three times a day, each child has a turn on the child-sized toilet located inside the classroom bathroom. Teachers use several effective techniques to potty train your children, such as potty charts, small treats, cheers, and various rewards.
