Lighthouse Academy Elburn Programs
Infants (6 weeks - 15 months)
Your baby will be nurtured in a warm, clean, and stimulating environment. The teachers will cater to your child’s specific needs and develop a personal daily routine. Activities will include story telling, singing songs, cuddling, and interacting with other children. An Infant curriculum with daily lessons and activities will assist your child in discovering their world.
Toddlers (15-24 months)
Toddlers will enjoy activities as a class to promote social development as well as individual discovery and play time. Daily activities will incorporate circle time with stories and songs, dramatic play, art, nature, sensory, language skills, and gross motor development. Toddlers will sit at a table with their friends for meals and learn to drink from a cup. Consistent daily routines assist in the child’s development of security and autonomy.
Twos (24-36 months)
Our two year old rooms are bursting with discovery and new milestones being met. Language skills are exploding and kids are potty training. The curriculum is full of exciting activities using art, literature, math, science, and music. The daily schedule is made of a variety of short activities toaccommodate short attention spans and keep children engaged.
Preschool (3-4 years)
Preschool and Pre-K classrooms are designed to provide an environment for your child to learn through individual discovery and play, group activities, and structured lesson plans. The teachers use a formal curriculum to guide children into the world of reading, writing, math and science. Phonics and whole language methods are used in teaching literacy. The academic activities continue throughout the entire day to fuel children’s excitement for learning.
I love Lighthouse Academy!!! The best teachers and staff in a great environment! My kids LOVE all of you lovely ladies! Thank you for everything you all do daily to care for my children!
All three of our kids attend Lighthouse and we LOVE it there! It's amazing the things my 4 year old preschooler has learned! We're keeping him at LH for kindergarten and we're certain he will be more than prepared for 1st grade public school.
Lighthouse has changed my perspective of a daycare. It not only made me feel at ease where my boys will be at when I'm at work but it makes them feel comfortable to wake up every morning and WANT to go to school. Lighthouse is like our second family. The staff is so considerate and caring for my boys. From the very first moment walking into lighthouse I fell in love with everything, not just because it was brand new but because there is so much space for the children in each room. Especially the basement that is fully finished for them to play and run around on cold and rainy days when they can't go outside. Considering that I’m a mother of a 4 1/2 & 3 year old I’m blessed to have them in lighthouse academy.
Lighthouse is a true gem! All four of my daughters attend Lighthouse and are flourishing from the care and instruction they receive. This place is truly a beacon for young minds and I am confident that my girls' start here will give them skills that will guide them throughout their lives. And of course their day is brightened by Ms. Kate's smile as they enter each morning.
We couldn't be happier with Lighthouse's location, building amenities, and most importantly, its staff. We know our children are cared for, loved, educated, and truly enjoy their time at Lighthouse.
When we selected Lighthouse, we didn’t know how much the teachers would come to care for our daughter. It’s been this intangible quality that has made Lighthouse the perfect choice for us. The way the Lighthouse staff treats, cares for, respects and truly loves our little one is invaluable. Alicia loves them all back and we couldn’t envision her being anywhere else!
