INFANTS

INFANTS PROGRAM

COMPONENTS OF CURRICULUM

Physical Development

Our daily routine provides many opportunities for reaching developmental milestones. The development of large muscles is necessary for motion, movement, and balance, and small muscles involved in fine motor skills such as manipulation and self-feeding.

PHYSICAL SPACE

Our classrooms provide a warm, safe, and stimulating learning environment that offers appropriate developmental challenges and facilitates a baby's innate curiosity to discover the world around them. A separate yet fully visible sleeping area ensures a safe and quality nap time.

OUTDOOR PLAY

Infants can enjoy outdoor activity time in our developmentally appropriate infant and toddler play area.

SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Our smaller group size per room allows teachers to provide a customized care routine uniquely tailored to each infant's needs and temperament. Our teachers are trained to encourage an infant's ability to self-regulate and to develop the capability to function independently in a personal and social context.

COMMUNICATION, LANGUAGE AND LITERACY

An infant's basic need to communicate is supported through meaningful interactions with caregivers during the daily care routine. Teachers also facilitate communication and foster early language through sign language, puppets, books, and songs.
